This is a page for ideas on simmer. There are themes, images, questions, sculptures made, movement explored, pieces of literature that want to be developed. Kamishibai Man
This video reflects two workshop sessions with the Kamishibai man puppet (2 versions of the puppet). This performance will be developed to integrate a live actor who uses a life sized Kamishibai box and actor, large puppets to reflect the characters from the fairytale, and then dancers to offer another interpretation of story. We will connect the imagery/interpretation of fairytale with contemporary questions in Japan.
