Commissioned by The Historical Society of Pennsylvania and performed as part of the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts (PIFA) in April 2013.

Performed: April 2013

Development Period: November 2012-April 2013

The Historical Society of Pennsylvania engaged White Box Theatre to bring new audiences and an interpretative perspective to the value of its collections. White Box Theatre worked with historians, librarians, dancers, visual artists and students to respond to the collection and its role as the beginning of institutional memory and identity of the city of Philadelphia. Statistical and anecdotal feedback showed that ArkHive brought many first time visitors to the Historical Society and enriched the experience and reflection of those that use its resources regularly.
